Edward T. Bromfield Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2008, the Edward T. Bromfield Jr. Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually. Mr. Bromfield, an early advocate of the College while editor of the Warren Sentinel, served on the College’s site selection committee before the institution was actually established. He later served on the College Board from 1975 until 1983 as a member and chairman. A resident of Front Royal, Mr. Bromfield died in 1998.

The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees and/or books and will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must complete a scholarship application
  • Must be a full-time and/or part-time student
  • Must have and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0
  • Must be a Warren County resident, seeking further education to enhance practical and intellectual pursuits
  • Must demonstrate financial need
