Edward T. Bromfield Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2008, the Edward T. Bromfield Jr. Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually. Mr. Bromfield, an early advocate of Lord Fairfax Community College, now Laurel Ridge Community College, while editor of the Warren Sentinel, served on the College’s site selection committee before the institution was actually established. (In the photograph, Mr. Bromfield is pictured to the right. Dr. William H. McCoy, the College’s first president, is pictured to the left). He later served on the College Board from 1975 until 1983 as a member and chairman. A resident of Front Royal, Mr. Bromfield died in 1998.
