Fauquier Resident Health Professions Endowed Scholarship
The Fauquier Resident Health Professions Endowed Scholarship was created by an anonymous donor to support Fauquier County residents attending Laurel Ridge Community College who are pursuing education that will lead to a career in health care and who are enrolled in one of the college’s degree programs in the health professions.
The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books and will be divided equally between two semesters. Satisfactory academic progress must be maintained in order for the recipient to receive the award for the second semester. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must be a full-time or part-time student
- Must be an accepted/enrolled in a Laurel Ridge degree program in the health professions
- Must be a resident of Fauquier County.
- Answer the question: Why are you pursuing education in the field of health care and how will a scholarship be helpful?
- Preference given to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
This scholarship is renewable.
