Frank Borleske Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Laurel Ridge Foundation in 2022 to honor the outstanding career of Frank Borleske, a mathematics professor at the college for 52 years. He began in 1970 – when the college first opened – and retired in 2022. Professor Borleske’s commitment to the college has not ended after his retirement as full-time faculty, because he has returned to teach mathematics as an adjunct.

Professor Borleske is a graduate of the College of William and Mary (B.S.) and Columbia University (M.A.) He is known for his devotion and commitment to student success by constantly making himself available to his students and offering countless hours outside the classroom. A beloved member of the School of STEM and the entire college community, Professor Borleske has been honored with the College Board Medallion of Recognition in 2022 and as Professor Emeritus in 2023.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
• Must complete a scholarship application
• Must be enrolled at the Middletown Campus
• Must be a full-time or part-time student
• Must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
