Elsie B. Tracy Endowed Scholarship
Established in 2007, the Elsie B. Tracy Endowed Scholarship will be awarded annually. The scholarship was established by the estate of Elsie B. Tracy. Mrs. Tracy was born in 1918 in Shoreham, Vt., and had a career as a federal government employee. She was married to William R. Tracy from 1953 until Mr. Tracy passed away in 1975. Mrs. Tracy lived at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Frederick County, Va. from 1989 until her passing in 2006 and thought very highly of Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury employees.
The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees and/or books and will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must be a full-time and/or part-time student
- Must enroll in and maintain at least six credit hours
- Must have and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0
- Must be employed at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Frederick County, Va.
- Must have successfully completed the 90-day introductory period at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Frederick County, Va.
- Must work at least 15 hours per week at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury in Frederick County, Va.
