Marion Poynter Scholarship

Marion Poynter, a resident of Warrenton, established this scholarship endowment to provide financial assistance to students attending Laurel Ridge Community College.

This award will provide assistance with tuition, fees, and books, not to exceed $1,200. The award will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester. To be eligible the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student and must reside in Rappahannock or Fauquier County.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Must complete a scholarship application
• Must be a full-time student
• Must maintain at least a 2.5 grade point average
• Must reside in Rappahannock or Fauquier County
