John Morrison Memorial Scholarship

John Hull Morrison, III, believed in the power of education and was a dedicated advocate for the Laurel Ridge Community College, raising significant funds for scholarships, facilities, and other important programs. He served on the Laurel Ridge Community College Educational Foundation for many years, including one year as board chair (2006).

John was the owner of Piccadilly Printing Company in Winchester, Virginia, from 1985 until his retirement in 2012. Though officially retired, John continued his role as a compassionate activist, working tirelessly on behalf of many important nonprofit organizations in the community.

John passed away on February 26, 2015 following a courageous battle with melanoma. This scholarship has been established by John’s friends to honor his love for his community, his desire to help hard-working individuals achieve their dreams, and his enthusiasm for the mission of Laurel Ridge Community College.
