Judy Fogle Teacher Education Scholarship

The Virginia Beta Iota Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary sorority for women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism, and world understanding. A scholarship was developed in 2021 for those graduates who will continue their education at a four-year college and pursue a degree in education.

The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books and will be divided equally between two semesters. Satisfactory academic progress must be maintained in order for the recipient to receive the award for the second semester. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the fall semester.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Complete the Foundation scholarship application and the federal aid application (FAFSA)
• Be enrolled as a full- or part-time student
• Must have completed 30 credit hours in an education program
• Must intend to transfer to a 4-year institution to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Education
• Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the financial aid office
