Linda R. and Roger L. Milburn Endowed Scholarship

Linda and Roger were both educators- she taught at James Wood High School for 34 years and he was a professor at the College for 40 years. After helping their daughter (a teacher/librarian) and their son (an accountant) obtain their bachelor’s and master’s degrees, they decided to offer support to others wanting more education.

The scholarship award will be applied toward tuition, fees and/or books and will be divided equally between two semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Must complete a scholarship application
• Must be a full-time or part-time student
• Must be a current or former James Wood High School student.
• Must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
• Preference:
  -Students in courses leading to a career in business or accounting.
  -Students demonstrating financial need.
