Kummli Family Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Alfred and Klara Kummli and Nellie Bossert of Rappahannock County, who strongly supported the mission of the community college and its service to the community. Mr. Alfred Kummli served on the Board of Directors of the Educational Foundation from 1993 to 2004 and was Chairman of the Foundation Board from 1998 to 1999.

This scholarship will provide assistance with tuition, fees, and books. The award will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester. Applicants from Rappahannock County will be given first preference for this award.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must complete a scholarship application
  • Must demonstrate academic merit by having and maintaining at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Priority given to residents of Rappahannock County
