William E. Bridgeforth Jr. Family Endowed Scholarship
This endowed scholarship was established in honor and memory of William E. Bridgeforth Jr. by his family and friends. Mr. Bridgeforth and his wife, Ruth, generously supported all the fundraisers and friend-raisers of the College. They donated an original John Chumley painting to be raffled and used as an incentive piece in the College’s first annual giving drive. Over $30,000 was generated with this raffle; thus the endowment was created. Mr. Bridgeforth passed away suddenly in January, 1993. He was an advocate of higher education as evidenced by his generous contributions to the College and James Madison University. His family continues to support the educational needs of their community.
