Patricia Dougans Scholarship

In partnership with the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education and thanks to the generosity of Page County citizen, Mrs. Patricia Dougans, a scholarship is available to Page County residents attending Laurel Ridge Community College, with first preference given to a Page County resident enrolled in the Physical Therapy Assistant program offered at the college’s Luray-Page County Center.

The scholarship award may be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books and will be divided equally between two semesters. Satisfactory academic progress must be maintained in order for the recipient to receive the award for the second semester. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Complete the Foundation scholarship application
• Completion of the federal aid application (FAFSA) is encouraged but not required
• Be enrolled as a full or part•time student at Laurel Ridge Community College
• Preference will be given to Page County residents.
• Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Laurel Ridge Community College financial aid office.
