Tim Melton Memorial-Shenandoah Audubon Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually by the Melton family and the Shenandoah Audubon Society in memory of Tim Melton. Tim Melton’s love for birds and nature was nurtured further when he became a student in the natural resources curriculum at the College. He filled his life with extraordinary enthusiasm, commitment and effort, and his unconquerable spirit would not let his illness limit him. Despite failing strength, he continued to teach natural history at a day camp during the last summer of his life. While Tim passed away before graduating from the College, his legacy continues through others’ lasting memories of him and the Tim Melton Memorial-Shenandoah Audubon Scholarship.
The award will provide assistance with tuition, books and/or fees, and it will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the fall semester.
