Michael Boaz Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship, established by William and Marie Boaz, is in honor and loving memory of their son, Michael, a student at the College at the time of his death in September, 2001. Mike was a 1999 graduate of Central High School in Woodstock, Va. where he had been active in drama and chorus and had served as President of the College’s Performing Arts Club. This award will be made to a full-time student who shares Mike’s passion for, and has been active in, the fine and performing arts.
This scholarship will provide assistance with tuition, fees and books not to exceed $1,200 and will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the fall semester. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be a Full-time student
- Must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average
- Discuss your interest and involvement in the fine or performing arts
