Navy Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Navy Federal Credit Union established an annual scholarship with Laurel Ridge Community College. The donors wish to give deserving local students the opportunity to earn a degree —particularly students who have demonstrated a commitment to service and leadership. Two scholarships in the amount of $950 will be awarded each year.

Scholarship may cover tuition, fees, and books, or supplies required by the syllabus.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Must complete a scholarship application
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Must be a United States citizen or resident alien
• Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a degree or certificate program.
• Preference given to active duty military, veterans, or military dependents(children or spouses)
• Preference given to Navy Federal Credit Union members for a least 3 years—Navy Federal will verify
