Mary Jane Bowman Endowed Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship was endowed by Mr. James L. Bowman in honor and memory of his wife, Mary Jane. The scholarship will provide assistance up to $2,000 with tuition, fees, and books to a student who wishes to pursue their post-secondary education in the nursing program and who wants to work in this field upon completion of their education.

The scholarship award will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. To be eligible to receive the award for the spring semester, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the fall semester.To be eligible for this award, the applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, be a resident of Frederick County or the City of Winchester, be enrolled in the nursing program, and maintain a 3.5 grade point average or better. Selection is based on a combination of academic potential and financial need.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:

• Must complete a scholarship application
• Must be a full-time student
• Must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average
• Must reside in Frederick County or the City of Winchester
• Must be enrolled in the nursing program
• Must demonstrate financial need
