Page County Scholarship awarded in Honor of Cindy Good

Cindy Good went to work at the Wrangler plant after graduating high school. When the plant closed in 2006, she needed a new plan. She enrolled in LFCC at the Luray-Page County Center and earned a college degree, graduating in 2008.
Following graduation, she continued her education to become a public school teacher. As a single mother, she wanted a career that would fit her schedule.

After receiving a general studies degree at LFCC, Good transferred to Mary Baldwin College in the adult degree program where she majored in history with a minor in early education. She is currently a third grade teacher at Luray Elementary School.

Funding for this scholarship has been given in honor of Cindy Good by a member of the community who admired Cindy Good’s tenacity and courage to go back to college after many years of working at the sewing factory.
