Dr. Katherine P. Simpson Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2011 by Dr. Katherine P. Simpson in an effort to create an opportunity to pursue an education for a student that might not otherwise have had that chance. Through her service as a faculty member in LFCC’s English department for many years, Dr. Simpson consistently showed her commitment to students and making the learning experience as rich as possible. Dr. Simpson’s passionate approach to teaching English became a contagion that students responded to and often rose to the challenge of meeting her high expectations. This scholarship fund, established in her honor, is intended to give more students that same opportunity to rise to the occasion and achieve their potential.
